THE HATCHWORK PROGRAMME
Hatch Your Creativity at Birdgang Ltd's Professional Development Residency
HATCHWORK champions the next generation of hip hop choreographers presenting brand new, experimental work for the first time. It's a unique opportunity to catch the results of a 2-week intensive artistic residency at Stanley Arts, where 8 selected choreographers deep dive in the creative process, and their professional developpment. The programme delivers ways to shape the future of the work and emphasizes the importance of offering industry and puplic feedback and reflections on the work.
HATCHWORK is a two-week professional development residency designed for 8 artists. During this programme, artists receive mentorship from BirdGang Ltd Movement Architects, engage in workshops led by external specialists in sound/music, lighting, costume/set design, and are supported by business development and coaching. Throughout the residency, artists explore diverse creation methods and are encouraged to consider how film and immersive technologies can impact their work, expanding the work's accessibility.
The public performance is the culmination of this intensive two-week experience hosted at Stanley Arts.
