Hatch Your Creativity at BirdGang Ltd's Professional Development Residency

HATCHWORK champions the next generation of hip hop choreographers presenting brand new, experimental work for the first time. It's a unique opportunity to catch the results of a two-week intensive artistic residency at Stanley Arts, where eight selected choreographers deep dive into the creative process, and their professional development. The programme delivers ways to shape the future of the work and emphasises the importance of offering industry and public feedback including reflections on the work.

HATCHWORK is a two-week professional development residency designed for eight artists. During this programme, artists receive mentorship from BirdGang Ltd Movement Architects, engage in workshops led by external specialists in sound/music, lighting, and costume/set design, and are supported by business development and coaching. Throughout the residency, artists explore diverse creation methods and are encouraged to consider how film and immersive technologies can impact their work, expanding its accessibility.

The public performance is the culmination of this intensive two-week experience hosted at Stanley Arts.
