Don't miss this opportunity to see the next generation of hip hop choreographers presenting brand new, experimental work for the first time. It's a unique opportunity to catch the results of a 2-week artistic residency at Stanley Arts, where 8 selected choreographers have been deep in the creative process, and an opportunities to shape the future of the work by offering feedback and reflections on what you see.
HATCHWORK 24 is a two-week professional development residency designed for 8 artists. During this program, artists receive mentorship from BirdGang Ltd Movement Architects and engage in workshops led by external specialists in areas such as music, lighting, costume/set design, and business development. Throughout the residency, artists explore diverse creation methods and are encouraged to consider how film and immersive technologies can impact their work, expanding the work's accessibility.
This public performance is the culmination of this intensive two-week experience hosted at Stanley Arts.
