THE HATCHWORK PROGRAMME

Championing the Next Generation of Movement Architects

Dedicated to fostering artistic growth and innovation, HATCHWORK supports the next wave of movement architects, presenting bold, experimental new work in fresh and exciting ways.

This unique initiative offers audiences the rare opportunity to experience the outcome of a two-week intensive residency at Stanley Arts, where eight selected choreographers immerse themselves in creative exploration, professional development, and entrepreneurial growth.

Throughout the programme, artists receive mentorship from BirdGang Ltd’s Movement Architects, take part in specialist-led workshops in sound, music, lighting, and costume/set design, and gain valuable insight through business development and coaching. Participants are encouraged to experiment with diverse methods of creation and to explore how film and immersive technologies can enhance the accessibility, innovation, and impact of their work.
